First Baptist came tearing into Tuesday's match with nine straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 30.3 points) and they left with even more momentum. They claimed a resounding 92-65 win over the Ovilla Christian Eagles. The Saints have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 contests by 20 points or more this season.

First Baptist got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Dylan Jones out in front who went 9 for 17 from beyond the arc en route to 45 points. The dominant performance gave Jones a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jett Stamps, who went 10 of 22 on his way to 24 points in addition to six boards and three steals.

First Baptist was working as a unit and finished the game with 24 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Ovilla Christian only racked up ten assists.

When it comes to explaining why Ovilla Christian lost, don't look at Lyric White. Despite the final result, he almost dropped a double-double on 29 points and nine rebounds. White has been hot, having also posted four or more steals the last six times he's played. Landon Rogers was another key player, putting up 15 points.

First Baptist pushed their record up to 19-2 with the win, which was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 75.5 points per game. As for Ovilla Christian, their defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 21-6.

First Baptist and Ovilla Christian should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings. First Baptist will square off against Prestonwood Christian North at 7:30 p.m. on Friday up 915 places (420 vs. 1335). First Baptist is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 70.5 points per game this season. Meanwhile, Ovilla Christian (ranked 710th) will meet Cambridge (ranked 1536th) at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
