Baseball Game Preview: Austin-East Roadrunners vs. Tyner Academy Rams

The Austin-East Roadrunners will square off against the Tyner Academy Rams at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with 13 consecutive losses dating back to last season for Austin-East and seven for Tyner Academy dating back to last season.

Austin-East came up short against Tellico Plains on Friday, falling 12-2. That's two games in a row now that the Roadrunners have lost by exactly ten runs.

Austin-East saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Chris Smith, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2. Another was Josh Hurst, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in both of his plate appearances.

Meanwhile, Tyner Academy lost 11-2 to Sequatchie County on Tuesday.

Tyner Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Austin-East, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-6.
