Baseball Recap: Yosemite Snaps Six-Game Streak of Losses at Home

Yosemite had lost six games at home, but after bumping their record up to 10-14 on Tuesday that streak is in the rearview. They skirted past the Chowchilla Tribe 3-2. This was payback for the Badgers, who suffered a 4-1 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Preston Radliff spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on two hits. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Yosemite is 5-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 5-13 otherwise.

At the plate, Yosemite saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brady Olson, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one triple and one RBI.

As for Chowchilla, they now have a losing record of 12-13. They were red-hot at the plate heading into the match (they scored no less than ten runs in the four games prior), but Yosemite's pitchers proved too tough.

On Chowchilla's side, Davian Stephenson made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one triple, one stolen base, and one RBI. Stephenson has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times he's played.

Yosemite will have a chance to go back-to-back against Chowchilla: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
