Softball Recap: Republic Beats Selkirk for Their Third Straight Win

Republic barely beat Selkirk the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Tigers' pitchers stepped up to hand the Rangers a 13-0 shutout on Saturday. Considering the Tigers have won six games by more than eight runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

The victory was the third in a row for Republic, bringing their record up to 8-3. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 4.0 runs on average over those games. As for Selkirk, their defeat was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 5-8.

Republic will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Rangers: the pair will be back at it again later today.
