Baseball Recap: Beverly Hills Triumphs

Beverly Hills not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since April 11, 2024. They put the hurt on the Hawthorne Cougars with a sharp 7-0 win. The Normans haven't had any issues with the Cougars recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Hawthorne's batters probably weren't too happy with Asher Miller, who pitched a no hitter and racked up 16 Ks (he gave up four walks). Those 16 strikeouts set a new season-high mark for Miller.

On the hitting side, Jake Carlson was a standout: he scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Joe Rendon, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-3.

Beverly Hills' first win this season bumped their record up to 1-7-1. As for Hawthorne, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-6 record this season.

Beverly Hills has already played their next contest, a 13-3 victory against Ambassador on the 26th. As for Hawthorne, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 19-2 loss against the Normans on the 27th.
