The King/Drew Golden Eagles will face off against the Wilson Mules at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. King/Drew knows how to get runs on the board -- the squad has finished with ten runs or more in their past four matchups -- so hopefully Wilson likes a good challenge.
King/Drew is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Wednesday. They blew past Triumph Charter 11-1. Considering the Golden Eagles have won nine contests by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Jordan Garcia was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out 12 batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in 13 consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI, two doubles, and one stolen base.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Brooklyn Walker, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last five games she's played. Another player making a difference was Kaiya Downs, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two doubles and two RBI.
King/Drew kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 5.4 hits per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 games they've averaged 11.4.
Meanwhile, Wilson posted their closest win since March 19th on Wednesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Narbonne, sneaking past 8-6. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Mules.
King/Drew has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-14 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.9 runs over those games. As for Wilson, their win bumped their record up to 8-14.
King/Drew beat Wilson 5-2 in their previous matchup back in March of 2015. Will the Golden Eagles repeat their success, or do the Mules have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
