Basketball Recap: Hough Skates Past East Mecklenburg with Ease + How To Watch

Hough strolled into their game on Tuesday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They really took it to the East Mecklenburg Eagles for the full four quarters, racking up a 55-28 win. That's more bragging rights for the Huskies, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Hough was led to victory by Kate Shryock and Blair Haines. Shryock went 7-for-9 en route to 15 points in addition to eight boards and four blocks, while Haines shot 50% from the field on her way to 17 points and three steals. Those four blocks gave Shryock a new career-high. Kate Breault was another key player, putting up seven points and four steals.

East Mecklenburg's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Jurnee Darling, who posted six points, and Alana Jones, who had eight points and six rebounds.

Hough's record is now 3-0. As for East Mecklenburg, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-2.

Coming up, Hough will face off against Jay M. Robinson at 12:00 p.m. on Friday. As for East Mecklenburg, they will take on Shelby in a tournament on Friday.
