Softball Game Preview: Polytechnic Parrots vs. South Hills Scorpions

Polytechnic is 0-3 against South Hills since March of 2021 but things could change on Friday. Polytechnic will challenge South Hills at 7:30 p.m. Polytechnic has given up an average of 16.2 runs per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Polytechnic is headed into Friday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 11th straight game dating back to last season last Tuesday. They lost 19-0 to Paschal.

Meanwhile, South Hills fell victim to Paschal and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They came up short against the Panthers, falling 10-0. The Scorpions' defeat signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

South Hills saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Natalie Ramirez, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base. Ramirez has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last five times she's played.

Polytechnic's loss dropped their record down to 0-8. As for South Hills, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-15-1.

Polytechnic suffered a grim 15-0 defeat to South Hills in their previous matchup on March 5th. Can Polytechnic avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
