Football Game Preview: Dover Crimson Tornadoes vs. Wooster Generals

Dover is a perfect 4-0 against Wooster since September of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Crimson Tornadoes will square off against the Generals at 7:00 p.m. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with five consecutive losses for Dover and eight for Wooster dating back to last season.

It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 63-34, which was the final score in Dover's tilt against Steubenville on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Crimson Tornadoes can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio football rankings (they are ranked 346th, while the Big Red are ranked 49th).

Meanwhile, Wooster played a tough contest on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were outmatched by West Holmes and fell 39-6. The matchup marked the Generals' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Dover's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Wooster, their loss dropped their record down to 0-6.

Everything went Dover's way against Wooster when the teams last played back in October of 2024, as Dover made off with a 48-28 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Crimson Tornadoes since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
