Football Recap: Rutherford Rams vs. Mosley Dolphins
Rutherford couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They lost 53-28 to the Mosley Dolphins on Friday. The Rams haven't had much luck with the Dolphins recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.
Despite the loss, Rutherford saw an underclassman step up: Jaleel Reed rushed for 80 yards and a touchdown on only six carries, and also threw for 70 yards and a touchdown.
Sammy Freitas was nothing short of spectacular for Mosley: he threw for 283 yards and five touchdowns while completing 73.9% of his passes. Carson Griffin was another key player, picking up 103 receiving yards and three touchdowns.
Rutherford will square off against Blountstown at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Mosley, they will face off against Bay at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
