Volleyball Recap: Wilkes Central Takes a Loss

After flying high against West Caldwell on Thursday, Wilkes Central came back down to earth. The Eagles fell just short of the Hibriten Panthers by a score of 3-2 on Monday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Eagles of the 3-2 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

Wilkes Central's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Hibriten, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Wilkes Central will venture away from home to square off against Avery County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Hibriten, they will head out to challenge Freedom at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
