Soccer Recap: Columbus Takes a Loss

Columbus was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss. They came up short against the Dike-New Hartford Wolverines, falling 10-0. While losing is never fun, Columbus can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Iowa soccer rankings (they are ranked 145th, while Dike-New Hartford are ranked 29th).

Columbus' defeat dropped their record down to 0-10. As for Dike-New Hartford, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-3-1.

Columbus has already played their next game, a 1-0 loss against Aplington-Parkersburg on the 30th. As for Dike-New Hartford, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next contest, a 10-0 win against Don Bosco on the 29th.
