Football Game Preview: Freedom Patriots vs. Brandon Eagles

The Freedom Patriots will face off against the Brandon Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (Freedom 10.2, Brandon 13) so any points scored will be well earned.

Freedom is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Monday. They put the hurt on King with a sharp 27-6 victory. The Patriots haven't had any issues with the Lions recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Brandon). They blew past Zephyrhills 54-0 on Monday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest victory of the season.

Brandon is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-7 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 6.6 points on average over those games. As for Freedom, their victory bumped their record up to 7-5.

Freedom lost to Brandon on the road by a decisive 26-12 margin in their previous meeting back in February of 2024. Can the Patriots avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
