East Central had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Monday. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Greene County Wildcats. That's more bragging rights for the Hornets, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

East Central had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 18-25, 25-20, 25-9, 25-19.

East Central's victory bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Greene County, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. East Central will welcome Pass Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Greene County, they will take on Richton at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
