Softball Recap: East Prairie Eagles vs. Woodland Cardinals

East Prairie lost to Woodland back in March of 2018, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Thursday. The East Prairie Eagles sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-3 win over the Woodland Cardinals. The victory made it back-to-back wins for East Prairie.

Addi Aters made a splash no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run over seven innings pitched. Aters was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two RBI and a double.

In other batting news, Harper Marshall and Ella Dunn did most of the damage at the plate: Marshall went 1-for-2 with a triple and an RBI, while Dunn went 1-for-4 with two runs and a triple.

East Prairie's victory bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Woodland, they now have a losing record at 2-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. East Prairie will face off against Portageville at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Woodland, they are on the road again on Tuesday to play Meadow Heights at 4:30 p.m.
