Basketball Recap: Claiborne Academy Takes a Loss

Claiborne Academy and Woodlawn Prep squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Claiborne Academy had to settle for second. They lost to the Woodlawn Prep Wolfpack on the road by a 72-55 margin. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wolfpack this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 71-43 last Saturday.

Claiborne Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 18-11. As for Woodlawn Prep, the victory (which was their 13th in a row) raised their record to 30-3.

Claiborne Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Woodlawn Prep, they will take on Oak Forest Academy in a tournament on Monday. Oak Forest Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 18 games -- so hopefully Woodlawn Prep likes a good challenge.
