Basketball Game Preview: Skyline Eagles vs. Highland Rams

Skyline hasn't had much luck against Highland recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Skyline Eagles will be playing in front of their home fans against the Highland Rams at 7:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Skyline is headed into the match out to prove that what happened against West on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Skyline took a blow against West, falling 86-35. The Eagles were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 38-16.

The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Estella Myers, who posted 12 points.

Meanwhile, Highland was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 16th straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 45-25 to East.

Highland's loss dropped their record down to 0-15. As for Skyline, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-11.

Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Skyline has been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 30 rebounds per game. However, it's not like Highland struggles in that department as they've been averaging 21.8 boards. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
