Volleyball Recap: Prairiland Comes Up Short

The home team had come away the winner the last four times Prairiland and Chisum had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Patriots lost 3-0 to the Mustangs on Tuesday. The Patriots have struggled against the Mustangs recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

While Prairiland was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Chisum's winning margin in every set. The final score came out to 25-7, 25-15, 25-16.

Prairiland's loss dropped their record down to 13-22. As for Chisum, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 27 of their last 29 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 35-4 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Prairiland will challenge rival Mount Vernon at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Chisum is set to square off against their familiar foe Rains at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
