Baseball Recap: Saranac Beats Franklin Academy for Their Fourth Straight Win

Saranac strolled into their game on Monday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They were the clear victors by a 12-1 margin over the Franklin Academy Huskies. The Spartans have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Huskies, too.

Saranac got a great performance from Caleb Champagne as he struck out seven batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit.

At the plate, Adrian Barnes was excellent, scoring three runs while going 1-for-3. That's the most runs he has posted since back in May of 2024. Seth Petrashune also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Saranac's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 4-0.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Saranac will face off against Ticonderoga at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Franklin Academy, they will challenge Massena at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. This will be the Huskies' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
