Volleyball Recap: Leyden Comes Up Short

Leyden lost against Maine West back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Eagles fell 2-0 to the Warriors.

Leyden couldn't get the win, but they sure gave Maine West a tough time in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 30-28, 25-15.

Pablo Lamas paced Leyden's offense, picking up nine kills. Lamas got some help from Kamil Mroziak and his 18 assists.

Leyden has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last nine games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 14-19 record this season. As for Maine West, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 29-5.

Leyden does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Maine West, they will take on Maine East at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
