Basketball Recap: Southampton Academy Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Southampton Academy, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Thursday. They enjoyed a cozy 68-54 win over the Halifax Academy Vikings on Friday. This was payback for the Raiders, who suffered a 66-56 loss the last time these two teams met.

Despite the loss, Halifax Academy still got an impressive performance from Landon Peoples, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 12 boards. Peoples is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed three or more in the last three games he's played. Jacob Crawford was another key player, putting up 13 points and three steals.

Southampton Academy's record is now 4-5. As for Halifax Academy, they dropped their record down to 4-6 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Southampton Academy will take on New Covenant in a holiday battle at at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Halifax Academy, they will venture away from home to square off against Wilson Christian Academy at 7:45 p.m. on December 20th. Halifax Academy is facing Wilson Christian Academy at the right time seeing as Wilson Christian Academy is stuck on a nine-game losing streak.
