Baseball Game Preview: Kellyville Ponies vs. Dewey Bulldoggers

For the second straight game, Kellyville will face off against Dewey. The Ponies will challenge the Bulldoggers at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Kellyville will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.

While Kellyville's win against Dewey wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Ponies narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Bulldoggers 3-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Ponies have posted since April 8th.

For Dewey's part, Cooper Wood was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he pitched six innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off six hits.

At the plate, Dewey saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brayden Ringer, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

Dewey's defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 18-11. Even worse, they were so close so many times: the losses came by an average of only 2.5 runs. As for Kellyville, their victory bumped their record up to 14-6.
