Football Recap: Northampton County Comes Up Short at Home Against Roanoke Rapids + How To Watch

Northampton County unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They had to suffer through a 38-0 loss at the hands of the Roanoke Rapids Yellowjackets. The Jaguars have struggled against the Yellowjackets recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Roanoke Rapids to victory, but perhaps none more so than Demajay Wiliams, who rushed for 76 yards and a pair of TDs. Malik Yellorday helped out on the ground, rushing for 89 yards and a rushing touchdown.

Looking ahead, Northampton County will hit the road for the first time this season to face off against Perquimans at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Roanoke Rapids, they will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against KIPP P at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
