Soccer Recap: Winter Park Takes a Loss

Winter Park was the 5-3 winner over Horizon when they last played one another back in December of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Winter Park Wildcats came up short against the Horizon Hawks on Wednesday, falling 5-1. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida soccer rankings (they are ranked 154th, while the Hawks are ranked 45th).

Winter Park now has a losing record at 7-8-3. As for Horizon, they pushed their record up to 11-4-2 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home.

Winter Park does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Horizon, they will face off against Lake Highland Prep at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Horizon is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.6 goals per game this season.
