Soccer Game Preview: Space Coast vs. Cocoa Beach

The Space Coast Vipers will take on the Cocoa Beach Minutemen at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Space Coast is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3 goals per game this season.

Space Coast is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Monday. They beat Atlantic by a goal, winning 4-3. The victory was nothing new for the Vipers as they're now sitting on three straight.

They hit Atlantic with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Tony Allotta (2), Jackson Farley, and Jaden McKinney.

Meanwhile, after failing to score in their last match, Cocoa Beach made sure to put some goals up on the board against Astronaut on Monday. They never let the War Eagles onto the board and left with a 7-0 win. Considering the Minutemen have won eight games by more than two goals this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Cocoa Beach is also on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-3-1 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 28 goals over those six matchups. As for Space Coast, they now have a winning record of 8-7-1.

Space Coast suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Cocoa Beach in their previous matchup back in December of 2023. Can Space Coast avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
