Northwestern extended their winning streak (dating back to last season) to 16 on Friday, bumping them up to 2-0. They walked away with a 35-28 win over the Ridge View Blazers. The score was all tied up 21-21 at the break, but the Trojans were the better team in the second half.

As for Ridge View, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. They have struggled against Northwestern recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Ridge View lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Spencer Bobian, who rushed for 118 yards and one touchdown while picking up 7.4 yards per carry. His rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 101 rushing yards dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was Jourdin Mack, who picked up 106 receiving yards and one score.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Northwestern will take on South Florence at 7:05 p.m. on Friday. As for Ridge View, they will head out to square off against Dutch Fork at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
