Volleyball Game Preview: Waubay/Summit Mustangs vs. Florence/Henry Falcons

Waubay/Summit is 2-8 against Florence/Henry since October of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The Mustangs are taking a road trip to square off against the Falcons at 7:30 p.m. Considering both teams were shutout in their prior games, the pair is probably coming into this one with something to prove.

Waubay/Summit lost 3-0 to Waverly/South Shore on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Mustangs have suffered against the Coyotes since September 7, 2023.

The match finished with set scores of 25-10, 25-21, 25-19.

Florence/Henry had taken Webster down for two straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Friday. The Falcons came up short against the Bearcats, falling 3-0.

Florence/Henry was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the first set very close. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-19, 25-18.

Florence/Henry's loss dropped their record down to 10-17. As for Waubay/Summit, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-15.

Waubay/Summit suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Florence/Henry when the teams last played back in October of 2024. Can the Mustangs avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
