Baseball Recap: Springfield Southeast Comes Up Short

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Springfield Southeast's offense. They came up short against the Glenwood Titans on Tuesday, falling 14-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Spartans of the 13-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

This is the second loss in a row for Springfield Southeast and nudges their season record down to 7-16. As for Glenwood, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 12-4.

Looking ahead, Springfield Southeast will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against Metro-East Lutheran at 4:30 p.m. The Spartans' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Knights have averaged an impressive 8.2 runs per game this season. As for Glenwood, they will head out on the road to square off against Sacred Heart-Griffin at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
