Baseball Recap: East Helena Vigilantes vs. Sidney Eagles
East Helena had to hit the road for their first game and sadly it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They fell just short of the Sidney Eagles by a score of 2-1 on Friday. East Helena was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Sidney apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2023.
For Sidney's part, they saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ryder Hansen, who went 2-for-3 with a stolen base.
The win (which was Sidney's third in a row) raised their record to 5-2.
East Helena will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Sidney at 5:00 p.m. on May 3rd. As for Sidney, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 9-8 loss vs. Columbus on the 13th.
