Baseball Recap: Saranac Gets the Win

Saranac won the last time they faced Northern Adirondack and things went their way on Friday too. The Spartans walked away with a 6-3 win over the Bobcats.

Caleb Champagne looked comfortable as he pitched four innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off four hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Seth Petrashune was a standout: he went 2-for-3 with three stolen bases and two runs. Those three stolen bases gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Landon Giroux, who went 3-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Saranac was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .385. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .355 or higher in three consecutive matchups.

Saranac's record now sits at 13-3. As for Northern Adirondack, they dropped their record down to 2-12 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight at home.

Saranac has already played their next game, a 9-3 victory against Saranac Lake on the 17th. Northern Adirondack does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
