Football Recap: Northbridge Starts Season with Victory Against Clinton + How To Watch

Northbridge took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Friday. They claimed a resounding 39-7 victory over the Clinton Gaels. The score at the end of the third wound up being the final score as the Rams just coasted through the last quarter.

Joel Lachapelle went supernova, rushing for 99 yards and four scores on only 12 carries, while also throwing for 234 yards and a pair of TDs while picking up 10.6 yards per attempt. That's the most passing yards he has posted since back in September of 2024.

When it comes to explaining why Clinton lost, don't look at Gavin Naughton. Despite the final result, he rushed for 98 yards and one touchdown on only six carries.

Looking ahead, Northbridge will square off against St. Bernard's Central Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Clinton, they will take on South at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
