Baseball Recap: Bronson's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Bronson had to endure a ten-game losing streak dating back to last season, but that streak is no more. They put the hurt on the Eastside Rams with a sharp 17-5 victory on Thursday. With that win, the Eagles brought their scoring average up to 7.2 runs per game.

Zach McClelland was a standout: he went 4-for-5 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Cooper Howard, who went 1-for-4 with three stolen bases, five RBI, and one run.

Bronson hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Eastside struck out six times.

Bronson's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-4. As for Eastside, their defeat was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 0-7-2.

Coincidentally, Bronson and Eastside will both be playing Countryside Christian the next time they take the field. Bronson will host Countryside Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, while Eastside will head out to face them at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
