Soccer Game Preview: Desert Ridge vs. Corona del Sol

The Desert Ridge Jaguars will take on the Corona del Sol Aztecs at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Desert Ridge's last four matchups have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Desert Ridge took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. They had just enough and edged out Williams Field 2-1. Desert Ridge wouldn't have won without Brody Najera, who scored the game-winner.

Meanwhile, Corona del Sol kept a clean sheet against Millennium on Thursday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Tigers. The win was a breath of fresh air for Corona del Sol as it put an end to their three-match losing streak.

Desert Ridge's victory bumped their record up to 5-10. As for Corona del Sol, their win bumped their record up to 6-9-2.

Desert Ridge skirted past Corona del Sol 2-1 in their previous meeting back in December of 2024. Do the Jaguars have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Aztecs turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
