Soccer Recap: Alleghany Takes a Loss

Alleghany lost against Elkin back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Trojans took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Buckin' Elks. That's two games in a row now that Alleghany have lost by exactly two goals.

Alleghany has been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-10-1 record this season. As for Elkin, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-4-1.

Alleghany will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Mount Airy at 5:30 p.m. on the 29th. Alleghany are facing Mount Airy at the right time seeing as Mount Airy are stuck on an eight-game losing streak. As for Elkin, they wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next match, a 5-1 loss against Starmount on the 17th.
