Football Recap: Lenoir City Panthers vs. Walker Valley Mustangs

After losing to Walker Valley the last time they met, Lenoir City decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Lenoir City Panthers secured a 41-35 W over the Walker Valley Mustangs on Friday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Panthers.

Lenoir City got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Gabe Cannon out in front who rushed for 96 yards and three touchdowns. Those 96 rushing yards gave Cannon a new career-high. Channing Mccord was another key back, rushing for 83 yards and two touchdowns.

Lenoir City was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 207 rushing yards. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their rushing yard total in three consecutive contests.
