Baseball Recap: Konawa Comes Up Short

For some reason, the away team has come away with the win the last three times Konawa and Weleetka have met, but the home crowd finally got their W on Thursday. The Tigers lost 13-5 to the Outlaws. The defeat continues a trend for the Tigers in their meetings with the Outlaws: they've now lost six in a row.

Evan Buxton was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. Another player making a difference was Bennett Henson, who went 1-for-2 with two runs and one stolen base.

Konawa's loss dropped their record down to 14-12. As for Weleetka, their win was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-9.

Coincidentally, Konawa and Weleetka will both be playing Vanoss the next time they take the field. The Tigers will host the Wolves at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Outlaws will play them later in the day, at 7:00 p.m.
