Football Recap: Heritage Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Friday just wasn't the day for Heritage's offense. They had to suffer through a 35-0 loss at the hands of the Calhoun Yellow Jackets. While losing is never fun, the Generals can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia football rankings (they are ranked 158th, while the Yellow Jackets are ranked 49th).

Caden Hight threw for 118 yards on nine of 25 attempts. Cody Bryan was his top target, picking up 74 receiving yards. On the ground, Brayden Slaughter rushed for 48 yards.

Leading Calhoun to victory were Hudson Chadwick and Justin Beasley. Chadwick gained 128 total yards and three touchdowns, while Beasley gained 127 total yards and two touchdowns. Beasley is also crushing it when it comes to receiving yards: he's posted at least 100 every time he's taken the field this season.

Heritage's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-3. As for Calhoun, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-2.

Heritage wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 31-17 victory against Adairsville on the 31st. As for Calhoun, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 35-9 win against LaFayette on the 30th.
