Softball Recap: Princeton's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Princeton came into Friday's game having lost six straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Montcalm Generals an 8-0 shutout on Friday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 13-2 back in April.

Shy Richardson was a standout: she got on base in all four of her plate appearances with two stolen bases and one run. Ivie Radford was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs and one RBI.

Princeton was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .423. The last time their batting average was this high was in their last 14 contests.

Princeton's win bumped their record up to 10-18. As for Montcalm, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-11.

As of now, neither Princeton nor the Generals have any future games scheduled.
