Softball Recap: Hempfield Sets Scoring Season-High Against Cedar Crest

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Hempfield). They blew past the Cedar Crest Falcons 17-0 on Tuesday. The Black Knights have beaten the Falcons the last four times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Falcons has come to flipping the script.

Kali Peifer was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two triples, three RBI, and two runs. Those two triples gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Kiara Rodriguez, who scored three runs while going 2-for-2.

Hempfield always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .767. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Hempfield's record is now 5-3. As for Cedar Crest, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-8.
