Softball Recap: Edna Finds Home Field Redemption Against Palacios

There's no place like home for Edna, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They came out on top against the Palacios Sharks by a score of 8-3 on Tuesday. The win was some much needed relief for the Cowboys as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Edna's victory bumped their record up to 4-10-1. As for Palacios, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 1-4-2 record this season.

Edna and Palacios could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings. Edna (ranked 760th) will meet Industrial (ranked 368th) at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Similarly, Palacios will face off against Tidehaven at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday down 419 places (684 vs. 265).
