After losing to Cedartown the last time they met, Hiram decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Hornets put the hurt on the Bulldogs with a sharp 37-17 victory on Friday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Hornets.

Hiram's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Amari Lindley, who rushed for 123 yards and one TD on only 11 carries. Those 123 rushing yards gave Lindley a new career-high. Hiram also got a significant boost from Dylan Maina, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 93 yards.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Hiram was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 325 rushing yards. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their rushing yard total in four consecutive games.

Cedartown lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Wyatt Mosley, who rushed for 70 yards on only seven carries, and also threw for 172 yards while completing 85.7% of his passes.

The win was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 3-4. As for Cedartown, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-5.
