Leigh had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6 goals) and they went ahead and made it four on Friday. They walked away with a 4-2 win over the Branham Bruins. Given the Longhorns' advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 155th, while the Bruins are ranked 574th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Leigh pushed their record up to 4-1 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 21 goals over those three matchups. As for Branham, their loss dropped their record down to 2-4-1.

Leigh wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next game, a 1-1 draw against Lincoln on the 8th. Branham has also already played their next contest, a 3-2 win against Willow Glen on the 8th.
