Baseball Game Preview: Christ Presbyterian Academy Lions vs. Lipscomb Academy Mustangs

The Christ Presbyterian Academy Lions will challenge the Lipscomb Academy Mustangs at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams are coming into the match red-hot, with Christ Presbyterian Academy sitting on ten straight victories and Lipscomb Academy on seven.

Christ Presbyterian Academy can't be too worried about heading out to take on Lipscomb Academy: they just beat Upperman at home, who had been dominant on their own field up to that point. The Lions walked away with a 7-2 win over the Bees on Saturday.

Meanwhile, Lipscomb Academy beat Beech 6-3 on Friday.

Christ Presbyterian Academy pushed their record up to 25-2-1 with the victory, which was their ninth straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.3 runs over those games. As for Lipscomb Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 20-4.

Christ Presbyterian Academy skirted past Lipscomb Academy 3-1 in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Lions since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
