Basketball Game Preview: Seneca Bobcats vs. Greenville Red Raiders

The Seneca Bobcats and the Greenville Red Raiders will compete for holiday cheer at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Last Thursday, Seneca had to suffer through a 77-23 loss at the hands of Westside. The contest marked the Bobcats' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Despite the defeat, Seneca had strong showings from Savannah Weston, who posted seven points and ten rebounds, and Ja'Nyce Floyd, who earned six points and three steals. Weston has been hot, having posted eight or more rebounds the last eight times she's played.

Meanwhile, Greenville played a tough match on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting Rock Hill an easy 70-44 victory. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Red Raiders have suffered since February 13th.

Greenville's defeat dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Seneca, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record this season.
