Recap: Bleckley County Royals vs. Telfair County Trojans
Even though the Telfair County Trojans scored an imposing 58 points on Friday, the Bleckley County Royals still came out on top. Bleckley County took their contest against Telfair County 70-58. Given Bleckley County's advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 135th, while Telfair County is ranked 463rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Despite the loss, Telfair County still got an impressive performance from Rodriquez Clay, who scored 29 points. Clay hasn't dropped below 15points for seven straight games. Ashton Mclaughlin was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
Bleckley County is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season. As for Telfair County, they have fallen quite a ways from their 21-6 record last season and are now at 4-10.
Bleckley County will be playing at home against Swainsboro at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Telfair County won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Wheeler County at 4:30 p.m. on January 20th. Wheeler County is coming into the contest hot, having won their last three games.
