Volleyball Game Preview: Bellmont Braves vs. Huntington North Vikings

Bellmont is 9-1 against Huntington North since October of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Saturday. The Braves will face off against the Vikings at 1:00 p.m. Bellmont is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last five games.

Bellmont is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Homestead, sneaking past 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Braves have posted since August 31, 2024.

Bellmont's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Ella Ross, who had eight digs and seven assists. Those seven assists gave Ross a new career-high.

Meanwhile, Huntington North came up short against Norwell last Thursday and fell 3-1. The Vikings have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

The final score came out to 25-10, 17-25, 25-17, 25-12.

Huntington North's loss dropped their record down to 11-19. As for Bellmont, their victory bumped their record up to 18-12.

Everything went Bellmont's way against Huntington North in their previous meeting last Tuesday, as Bellmont made off with a 3-0 win. Will the Braves repeat their success, or do the Vikings have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
