Basketball Recap: Vassar Comes Up Short + How To Watch

After flying high against Marlette on Friday, Vassar came back down to earth. The Vulcans took a blow against the Birch Run Panthers on Monday, falling 67-34. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Vulcans have suffered since January 24th.

When it comes to explaining why Vassar lost, don't look at Kris Cerda. Despite the final result, he posted 13 points and three steals. Cerda is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed three or more in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Michael Olivarez, who earned ten points.

Vassar's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Birch Run, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Vassar will square off against North Huron at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Birch Run, they will venture away from home to take on Genesee at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
