Recap: Liberty Union Lions vs. Teays Valley Vikings
The Liberty Union Lions's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They fell just short of Teays Valley by a score of 50-47. Liberty Union has not had much luck with Teays Valley recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Several Lions players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Noah Shook, who scored 15 points. Shook scored a full 31.9% of Liberty Union's points, the second time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Blake Shawver was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.
Liberty Union's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Teays Valley, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Liberty Union will challenge Hamilton Township at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hamilton Township will be looking to keep their three-game home win streak alive. As for Teays Valley, they will head out on the road to face off against Bloom-Carroll at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
