Basketball Recap: Coltenn Wagner's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Crosspointe Christian Academy over Indiana Christian Academy

Crosspointe Christian Academy lost against Indiana Christian Academy back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Crosspointe Christian Academy Panthers fell 54-44 to the Indiana Christian Academy Whirlwinds. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 296th, while the Whirlwinds are ranked 112th).

Several Panthers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Coltenn Wagner, who posted 23 points. Another player making a difference was Phil Fitzsimmons, who earned 13 points.

This is the second loss in a row for Crosspointe Christian Academy and nudges their season record down to 10-9. As for Indiana Christian Academy, the victory was the 28th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 30-1.

Crosspointe Christian Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 61-49 loss against First Baptist Christian on the 18th. As for Indiana Christian Academy, they have also already played their next matchup, a 66-53 win against Suburban Christian on the 15th.
