Volleyball Recap: Valmeyer Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Valmeyer lost against Carlyle back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Pirates fell 2-0 to the Indians/Lady Indians. The Pirates have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-14.

Heidi Smith paced Valmeyer's offense, picking up three kills. Smith got some help from Maddi Huddleston and her five assists. Finally, Smith was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high two blocks.

Valmeyer's defeat dropped their record down to 4-16-1. As for Carlyle, their win bumped their record up to 13-8.

Valmeyer wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against New Athens on the 2nd. As for Carlyle, they have also already played their next match, a 2-1 win against Chester on the 2nd.
